Why Healing Takes Times

One of the questions I am commonly asked regarding chronic illness is why it can take a long time to reverse. While the timeline for healing is different for everyone, I encourage you to consider that your illness did not happen overnight. It took many years before a “tipping point” occurred.

During that time, your body was always quietly working hard for you. At some point your immune system got worn down and could no longer handle the growing viral load. We develop mineral deficiencies as the immune system quickly uses up resources to fight pathogens. We lose hydration and glucose in our cells, weakening their lifeforce. Symptoms mount, breaking down the body’s strength.

The good news is that the healing process generally goes much faster than the years it took to accumulate all those toxins and pathogens. This is also a time of rebuilding mineral deficiencies and cellular health with hydration and nutrients. There’s a delicate balancing act here. If we tackle detox too quickly without sufficiently supporting hydration, glucose, and mineral salt needs, we can experience symptom setbacks.

Healing can feel intense at times and it certainly is not a linear path. The healing journey is more like a winding path filled with obstacles and detours – and that path is different for everyone. It’s okay. Have faith in the process, and remember to slow down and stabilize your body at any time you feel the need to.

Consistency of effort, faith, and perseverance are what one needs to successfully get through the healing process. Between the tortoise and the hare, the tortoise wins the race.

"We need to trust the divine, innate healing wisdom of the body to heal
conditions in the priority it feels it needs to."

If you have been led to believe that your chronic illness is a hopeless life sentence, I will tell you that I once did too. I encourage you to consider that the conventional medical world does not understand the root cause of these conditions or how to reverse them.

So when someone tells you that you can’t get better, please remember that our bodies are incredibly resilient and heal naturally when given the right tools and supports.

People all over the world are recovering from cancer, endometriosis, hypothyroidism, POTS, fibromyalgia – all kinds of conditions. Incredible healing is happening from all walks of life everywhere. There is no reason why you too can’t recover from your chronic illness. Healing is possible for everyone. I encourage you to find faith in your body once again and practice it.
